Be careful what you eat! Examples of some food that will destroy your health rather than build it

Food is any substance we take into our body for the purpose of building our health; it’s rather unfortunate that some of the food we eat destroys, rather than build our health. Here are common examples of some of food that and how they affect our health:

1.     Highly Processed foods.
Foods that are highly processed are low in nutrients and high in unhealthy ingredients and artificial chemicals. If the ingredients list contains more than five ingredients or something that you don't understand, just know that it is bad for you.

2.     Foods Labeled "Low-Fat" or "Diet."
Most junk food makers are dishonest; and unfortunately they get away with it. Even products marketed towards children as healthy, with labels like "diet," "low fat" or "whole grain" are often high-sugar in sugar and very unhealthy.

3.     Artificial Sweeteners.
Consumption of artificial sweeteners shows consistent and strong associations with preterm delivery and various diseases like metabolic syndrome, obesity and type II diabetes

4.     Fruit Juices?
The fruit juices you find at the supermarket aren't always what they seem. They may have small amounts of real fruit in them, but often they are little more than water, artificial flavor, sugar and chemicals, some of which can be cancerous.

5.     Sports Drinks
Sports drinks were designed for athletes who have just finished an intense training session with massive sweating and glycogen depletion. For this reason, sports drinks contain: Water - to replenish lost fluid. Electrolytes - to replenish electrolytes like sodium that were lost via sweat. Sugar - because athletes need energy after an intense workout. You don't need any additional electrolytes unless you've been doing a very intense workout.

6.     Which meat is best to eat for weight loss?

Goat meat is superior to other meats including meat and chicken. The only meat leaner than goat meat is the Ostrich. It is a common belief that red meat are bad for the heart due to high cholesterol content and white meat (chicken and turkey) are good. According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), goat meat is lower in cholesterol and fat than chicken, turkey, beef, pork, lamb and other red meats. Research have revealed that chicken has more than double the fat in goat meat and beef has six times the fat in goat meat.  Numerically, goat meat has just 3% fat, turkey 5%, chicken 7.4%, beef a whopping 18.8% fat. A 100gram servings of goat meat contains 142 calories, chicken has 185, lamb has 205, beef has 207 while pork has 209 calories in the same servings. And when compared to chicken, goat meat has 3gm fat,(0.93gm of saturated fat), 75 mg of cholesterol, 27gm of protein and chicken has 5gm fat,( 1gm of saturated fat ), 85 mg of cholesterol and 31gm protein per 100gram serving.

In conclusion, other than fish, goat meat is the healthiest and best meat to eat based on nutritional values of different meats and their impact on heart health. For the benefit of weight loss, you can consume fish, goat meat, and skinless chicken in moderation, before considering other meats as a source of animal protein for a better result.
